About the Studio
Steven works out of his studio on the shore of Loch Sunart, at Rockpool House, Resipole, in the heart of the beautiful West Highland Peninsulas of Ardgour, Ardnamurchan, Moidart, Morvern and Sunart. He has a passion for photographing this stunning and unspoilt part of Scotland and his images feature landscapes, seascapes and the night-sky.
His studio at Rockpool House showcases a selection of his work and has photographic prints and other items for sale. From this base he can arrange photographic tours of the West Highland Peninsulas or provide both beginner and intermediate photography tuition.
From March to October, the studio is open to visitors on most weekday afternoon’s between 13:00 and 17:00, so please feel free to drop in for a visit. Outside of these times, the studio is open to visitors by appointment only, so please get in touch if you do wish to visit then. From the South, we can be reached by taking the A82 north to Fort William. On this journey you will cross the Ballachulish Bridge just after Glencoe village. Four miles after the bridge, turn left and take the Corran Ferry to Ardgour.
If you are travelling from the North, you should take the A82 south to Fort William and then continue through the town on the A82, towards Glasgow. After 9 miles you will reach the Corran Ferry. Turn right, off the A82 and take the ferry to Ardgour.
In either case, on leaving the ferry, turn left and take the A861 west towards Salen. After 21 miles, you will reach Resipole Campsite after which you will turn sharp left over a small bridge that crosses a burn. You will find us on the right, about half a mile beyond this bridge.
